This hotel really exceeded my expectations! the value for money was fantastic. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the beautiful views over the Tuscan countryside from the outside eating area. Speaking of which, the attention to detail in the hotel's design and decor was impressive, giving it a lot of character. Additionally, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for places to visit and providing clear directions. And let's not forget the delicious food from the restaurant and the wide selection at breakfast!
All in all, my stay at this hotel was more than okay.

The hotel was charming and the staff (owners) absolutely wonderful. We found the owners very welcoming and professional. They were always very accomodating and helpful in arranging bookings and even finding a nearby garage that could fix our flat tire. We were welcomed by a friendly smile and received good advice about the region. The food was excellent. We were for instance served a meat dish that qualified as some of the best meat we have ever had. The hotel is perfectly situated for day trips to places such as Florence, Lucca, Sienna, San Gimignano,Pisa and even Viareggio. Our hotel stay was definately part of our perfect trip to Tuscany!

The new staff of the hotel is wonderful: they really make your stay a great experience. The view from the terrace over the Tuscany landscape is lovely. Locationwise it is between Florence and Siena.
A pity there is no swimming pool

This small hotel is perfectly located to explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside. the rooms are clean and cozy, with a characterful building and a lovely terrace offering stunning views. the staff is friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. the food is delicious, with a wide selection for breakfast and mouthwatering dishes in the restaurant. It's also worth mentioning that the hotel is eco-friendly and provides a well-written welcome folder.
The proximity to a busy road and a junction can be slightly disruptive due to the noise of passing trucks.

Everything was just perfect, clean and working. Charlotte is a very nice host, she creates a very relaxing atmosphere. They arranged a place with good attention to details for perfect confort. And the cooking is fantastic. We have been 4 days around Chianti, eating in diferent types of restaurants, but none as good. Very good place to stay, but if is not in your program, is worth it to stop to have lunch or dinner.

The friendliness and relaxed nature of the young owners was great. They spoke English and helped with directions and gave good advice on places to visit. The roads in the area are good for riding our motorbike.
The town itself hasn't much to offer

This hidden gem in Tuscany was the perfect base for exploring the region. Situated just outside a quaint town, the hotel had a beautiful terrace overlooking the countryside. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great tips on places to visit. The food at the restaurant was also delicious, with a full selection breakfast.
The hotel is located close to a major road which can be quite noisy, especially during the day. The sound isolation within the hotel could also be improved as noise from other rooms and the kitchen could be heard.

We had a spacious room, the staff was very helpful (actually the owners), speaking fluent English (at least the lady :). The parking is free and there are about 10-15 car spaces. Restaurant (the owner is the chef) serves good meals. Internet is for free, and there where no problems with the connection. Perfect location for trips to Florence, Siena (by car and by train), Volterra, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and many others (by car).
Castelfiorentino, the city where the hotel is located isn't much of an attraction itself.

La Pieve’s new management is truly remarkable – Charlotte is multi-lingual, charming, very knowledgeable about the area. Our room (fauxed in Tuscany colors) was spacious and immaculate with a huge bathroom. Dining on site. Given notice, chef Matteo can prepare off menu Tuscan creations served on their terrace or dining room. Their location is ideally located for day trips to Sienna, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa and Florence – not to mention just touring Tuscany back roads with a GPS. We wished we could have stayed longer. We always felt at the end of the tourist day we were coming home to be pampered. We will be back.

I loved staying at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, especially the local wine. The hotel was eco-friendly, and I appreciated the effort to be sustainable. Additionally, the welcome folder in my room was informative and welcoming.
Absolutely nothing.

We truly enjoyed our stay at La Pieve: the location was perfect for exploring nearby San Gimignano, Volterra, the Chianti region, and for arriving from Pisa airport; the dinner we enjoyed at the restaurant was very high quality including home baked chocolate tart (all cooked by the owner!); our room overlooked the rolling hills of Tuscany and was the perfect way to start the day, and above all, the owners Charlotte and Matteo were extremely helpful and friendly, and always ready to answer any questions we had and to give out local knowledge. We will definitely consider staying at La Pieve the next time we are in Tuscany, especially in summer where we would be able to make the most of the terrace for a drink and some dinner al fresco.

Very friendly staff, especially very helpful in finding solutions with young children. Rooms are rather simple, but have airconditioning and are clean. The restaurant is very good. Good pricing.
No place to let young children play around.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a charming hotel nestled in the Tuscan hills. The hotel had a lot of character and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure that all guests felt welcome and taken care of. The rooms were spacious and clean, with fantastic views of the picturesque countryside. The hotel also had a lovely terrace dining area where guests could enjoy delicious local cuisine while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Additionally, the breakfast offered a wide selection of tasty options, including both traditional Italian dishes and more substantial choices for a small additional fee.
All went smoothly and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Excellent food in own restaurant.
Hotel has adjacent road with regular traffic, also at night time. Breakfast is very "italian": Cookies, cake and coffee.

Comfortable hotel, little out of town but withing walking distance of town centre. Lovely views of surrounding countryside and very pleasant outdoor eating areas. Room clean and well furnished and breakfast available for extra charge. Hotel owner always present, speaks very good English and extremely pleasant and friendly. Hotel restaurant has good menu and food is excellent. Enjoyed our stay very much!
No lift - had to carry cases up to 2nd floor, might be a problem for some people.
